Hydradermabrasion with cytopeel is gentler than microdermabrasion. It uses a custom water treatment that distributes moisture, peptides and serums to the skin to exfoliate and increase hydration. Also removes impurities from the pores through gentle suction while pumping nutrients into the skin. Safe for all skin types.

Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that uses a scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dead skin cells & vellus hair (peach fuzz) revealing a smoother & brighter complexion. Treatments can deliver improvements in the skin, including:

There are five different versions of the VI Peel available, each tailored to a specific concern; however, the overall benefits include:

The VI Peel is a unique blend of 5 acids designed to target multiple conditions.

Retinoic Acid

Retinoid acid is a derivative of vitamin A. It helps to regulate growth and differentiation of skin cells, resulting in a reduction in acne, inflammation, and oil production. It’s also where the Vi Peel’s anti-aging benefits come in. 

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)

The combination of TCA and phenol creates a controlled injury of the skin, leading to regeneration and resulting in increased collagen and elastin production. TCA clears away dead skin cells to reveal the new skin layers below to treat concerns like skin discoloration, scarring, and wrinkles.

Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid prevents inflammation by killing bacteria, suppresses sebum production and cleansing the pores.

Phenol

This is the secret weapon that numbs the skin allowing for a painless application and is often used to treat deeper concerns like sun damage, pigmentation, and facial lines.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)

Vitamin C is included in the VI Peel as “a powerful antioxidant that counters some of the damaging effects of the sun and pollution, reducing pigmentation and improving the appearance of the skin. It also has collagen-boosting properties which is KEY in plumping the skin and smoothing over wrinkles. 

A VI Peel only takes about 30 minutes and is usually painless. It uses a blend of ingredients to break down your top layer of skin and reveal healthy skin underneath.The peel is considered non-invasive, and most patients agree that it's painless. Some patients experience mild tingling like pins and needles. 

Your exact procedure may differ slightly, but here’s what you can generally expect:

1. The practitioner will cleanse your skin to remove dirt and oil.
2. They will then apply the VI Peel solution in two layers.
3. You may experience some numbness or tingling once the first layer is applied.
4. Once the second layer is applied, your skin will “frost,” or turn white.
5. About 4 to 6 hours later, you’ll wash off the peel.
6. Your skin will start peeling about 3 days after the procedure.

For wow results, VI Peels are often alternated with micro-needling, botox and fillers.  Micro-needling breaks pigment down and the VI Peel lifts it.  It is recommended patients wait at least 14 days after the peel before undergoing a micro-needling treatment.  Fillers and Botox are also regularly combined with the VI Peel and can be done in the same visit leaving the VI Peel to improve fine lines, tighten the skin and address texture and pigmentation.

a single treatment will last easily 3 or 4 months, after which you will need to get another treatment. Do keep in mind though, a single treatment may only last this long as you follow the aftercare instructions provided.

About 4 to 6 hours after your procedure, and at least an hour before bed, you should wash off the peel using a mild cleanser and water. Your skin will likely start to peel 3 days after treatment.

You can take care of your skin after your procedure by:

• avoiding applying any creams or lotions until you wash off your peel
• applying the “Post Peel Protectant” given to you after your procedure two to four times per day
• applying moisturizer frequently until you’re done peeling
• avoiding direct sunlight when your skin is peeling and making sure you wear sunscreen whenever you go outside

Overall, VI Peels are generally tolerated well and the side effects tend to be minimal. As we said, skin will peel—a lot—afterward.  Patients must understand the importance of resisting the urge to pick or peel away at the skin to avoid scarring. This is especially important for those with darker skin tones. Some patients might experience some skin discoloration around three days after treatment, though it dissipates independently.

The frequency that you should get a VI Peel depends on your budget and the specific skin condition you’re trying to treat. Peels should be at least 4 to 6 weeks between treatments to see continuous results.

The average price of a VI Peel tends to hover between $250-$350 a session; however, the final cost depends on how many treatments you are recommended based on your skincare goals. If you're looking for an overall refresh that’s a few steps above what you can get at home, then one VI Peel session may be all you need. Depending on the level of advancement of your skin concern, it can take three-to-four sessions to achieve the desired outcome. 

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you should speak with a doctor before getting a VI peel. Due to a lack of research, chemical peels that contain TCA or salicylic acid are not recommended while pregnant.

While the long term goal is to eliminate the need for makeup, it may be worn at any time after the peel solution has dried completely (two hours or more post peel).

No. By sloughing off the old skin and forcing the body to recreate new skin at a faster rate in a sequence faster than its own rate, the skin actually thickens, stimulating the underlying structure to make more collagen and elastin. 

The skin will be more sensitive during the peeling process itself. You may experience up to four days of sensitivity until PH of the skin is replenished.

The skin on the neck responds well. The Vi Peel has proven to help improve texture and quality with gradual softening of the lines and some tightening effects. The peeling process and results are different from the face.

The neck, arms, hands and chest all respond well to a Vi Peel.

Sun exposure should be limited and SPF 30+should be used liberally. However, the Vi Peel was created to be practical. The only days where exposure to the sun should be seriously avoided are days three and four, when the skin is peeling, to avoid uneven exposure. After that, you can enjoy moderate sun exposure, continuing regular skin care maintenance and daily sun protection.

Again, the Vi Peel was created to be practical. The solution must be left on the skin for two hours prior to exercising, washing it off immediately before commencing exercise. Please avoid heavy sweating for the first few days after the peel.

Of course. In some cases, the physician may recommend premedication prior to the peel. If you break out with a sudden cold sore the day of the peel, often the Vi Peel will eliminate the sore and medication may be started concomitantly.

The peel is excellent for both adult and adolescent acne. We have effectively peeled acne patients as young as twelve years old. Results are quick and very impressive.
